 Elizabeth Blackwell was the first woman to reach her medical degree and become a doctor. When Elizabeth Blackwell first went to find a medical school no one would take her and all the doctors she knew told her to give up. Until Geneva medical school in upstate New York, and it ends up being a joke. Elizabeth didn’t let that joke take her down she worked for her goal and she got it.

Elizabeth Blackwell’s life as she’s growing up and making changes. Elizabeth is the third child out of nine children and is dealing with moving from England to New York and then her father is dying of a horrible dieses. But Elizabeth can get through it and can prove anyone wrong who thinks negative of her. Elizabeth Blackwell ends up being an important woman in history.
